Who Are David & Cordi
We’re a family-run business and deeply care about the people we get to work with. Living now in Mexico, we were brought together by the medicine in 2021 (shoutout to Soltara Healing Center), and despite not being veterans or first responders ourselves, we know what it’s like to go through our own struggles and come out the other side stronger.
This work is our calling, and is driven by the belief that true healing happens in community.
Rooted in the philosophy of Bhakti, the path of devotion, we dedicate ourselves to service, love, and connection. We do our best to live the practices we teach, trying to embody the work every single day.
We are not perfect and don’t claim to be. We are not healers or shamans - but we have worked alongside and apprenticed under some truly incredible teachers from different lineages and share some of their teachings alongside our own experiences.
We are also lucky to have a powerful team of peer mentors from the veteran & first responder background, who’ve been through their own healing journeys with us and are here to support you along the way. Check out our team page to meet the people who walk this path with us.
What The Hell Does “Becoming OM” Even Mean?
In yogic philosophy, Om is the primordial sound/frequency that contains everything - timeless, without limitations. Becoming Om is the journey to return to a sense of oneness, of limitless, of infinite peace and potential.

My path of spiritual development began in high school when I found the book Siddhartha, and I knew there was something more to life than the typical American lifestyle. My course remained a traditional one for some time, though I felt a calling towards helping others heal which led me to become a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Always fascinated with neuroscience, psychology and human behavior, I began to explore & expand my own consciousness in grad school. After working for a year in the traditional medical system, I became thoroughly disillusioned with the traditional approach to “healthcare” and started my own business to bring my holistic point of view to my fellow Brazilian Jiu Jitsu athletes.
In 2021, fate aligned a Jiu Jitsu camp in Costa Rica that I was attending perfectly with the timing of a medicine retreat at Soltara, where I met Cordi. Our relationship bloomed through a shared spiritual connection to Bhakti Yoga & the Bhagavad Gita, and the healing power of the Medicine. Inspired by the path of Silvia and Noe, I deeply know that the Medicine brought Cordi and I together to support each other in our own healing, and to help spread these gifts to the world.

After graduating university with a degree in translation in 2017, I set out to what was supposed to be a 3-month backpacking trip to Central America. I had always been fascinated by history, languages and ancient cultures. About 2 weeks into my trip, I went through a dark night of the soul - my life felt like it wasn’t truly mine, and even though outwardly I had everything together and was “successful” on the inside I felt trapped and uninspired. I was seeking external validation, was caught in codependent relationships and constantly trying to fix others so I didn’t have to look at my own problems. I numbed and disconnected with alcohol and drugs, seeking peak experiences just to feel something - anything. Being alone with myself and my own thoughts felt way scarier than putting myself in dangerous situations.
I signed up for my first yoga teacher training, not knowing what to expect but I felt like I had to change something. That month in the mountains of Ecuador, guided by incredible teachers from yoga and plant medicine, I finally felt somwthing greater. A connection. A purpose. I was introduced to the power of intention, community, and plant medicine for healing.
My journey then took my across the globe for a few years, learning and apprenticing with teachers and healers from different cultures - from swamis and sages in India, renowned psychedelic therapists in the US, Shipibo maestros in Peru and Nahuatl practitioners in Mexico.Along the way, I found my soulmate and life-partner David. Brought together by ayahuasca, I am now grateful to be sharing the practices of my teachers and some of the things that I’ve learned on my own healing journey.
I’m all about giving you tools that work - whether it’s breathwork, mindful movement, guided meditations or somatic practices - I’m here to help you regulate your nervous system, release anxiety and bring a little bit of ceremony and intentionality into your daily life.
I love creating spaces where you feel seen, safe , and supported. Whether it’s on a retreat and in ceremony, weekly group calls, a private yoga session or my women’s circles … we’re all just walking each other home and I am honored to walk with you.
